It has always been that way. As far back as I can remember. Just try to own a business in Croatia and you will lean this very quickly. Maybe the EU can help in this one issue with Croaita. Still a great Country.

You guys are absolutely wrong. This whole situation came about because of poor management. Government officials and managers have been using the company as a source of income for their friends and relatives. There are about 500 extra employees who are on the company payroll causing the losses. For the amout of aircraft that CA has there should not be more than 500 employees total on the company payroll. By keeping all of these extra office employees on the payroll the ones who actually earn the money for the airline ( pilots, flight attendents and mechanics) have to susbsidize their wages. By your logic the pilots and flight attendents should be paid less so that the company can bring on more staff who do nothing. It is a risky game that is being played by the unions and company but if we want to see self sustaining airline the management has to look in a mirror or in the hallways of its offices for cost savings.

Whoever is to blame the fact is the travelling public have lost confidence and faith in CA.20 odd flights cancelled today causing massive inconvenience to passengers hoping to travel. CA already in serious debt cannot sustain such losses. I fear CA will cease to exist before long.

Dont these people realise how fortunate and privileged they are to have good jobs in these times of recession? This further action can only do more damage to their already struggling company. There are many low cost budget airlines just waiting for the opportunity to take over Croatia Airlines routes. This strike will only drive even more customers away.

Nobody has the guts to do it. Thats the problem. They have lost public support not to mention the confidence of the travelling public who will switch to more reliable airlines. Croatia Airlines are already on the edge of bankruptcy.
