Croatian innovators scoop awards in Geneva

Croatian innovators have won three gold, two silver and a four bronze medals at this year's Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva, and also picked up a special award from the German Institute for Research and Innovation.
Two of the gold medals went to students Jurica Resetar and his mentor Ivan Vlainic for their autonomous hybrid power system innovation, and their mine and fire detector innovation, whilst the third gold medal went to Djuro Horvat and the company Thenix, for their mechanical-biological and thermal treatment of municipal waste innovation.
More than 60,000 visitors attended the exhibition which featured over 1100 innovations from over Europe, reported Croatian daily newspaper Vecernji list.

Croatia to take part in building two pipelines
Representatives of the Governments of Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, and Bosnia and Herzegovina signed a memorandum highlighting their intention to construct two new pipelines - the Trans-Adriatic (Trans Adriatic Pipeline, TAP) and the Ionian-Adriatic (Ionian Adriatic Pipeline, IAP), the news agency RIA Novosti reports.
